Kate is a dynamic and dedicated Legal Counsel with a passion for commercial law in digital settings. Complemented by a strong background in software project management and business operations, she leverages her analytical skills and creative thinking to find practical solutions.

Since transitioning into commercial law, Kate draws on her operational expertise in optimising business processes and managing large-scale, multi-country software projects with diverse stakeholders. She approaches legal challenges with both an operational and commercial perspective, while her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to supporting others make her a versatile and impactful team member.

Kate’s background in the technology and commercial sector means she has significant experience in improving business processes and handling complex regulations.

“Combining my tech and commercial experience with my passion for law allows me to approach legal challenges from a practical perspective. This means I can provide clients with solutions that not only address their legal requirements but also align with their operational and commercial goals, making sure everything works smoothly together.”

Before joining Source, Kate held various positions, including Operations Manager and Company Secretary at uDrew, and Project Manager at Dealer Solutions. She also co-founded her own tech business in Ireland and served as a director for an Australian tech start-up.

  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice – College of Law
  • Advanced Diploma of Program Management – TAFE Qld

Kate enjoys activities that keep her both physically and mentally engaged. An avid reader, she broadens her perspective and knowledge through books. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu keeps her fit while fostering discipline and resilience, while climbing challenges her limits and provides a sense of accomplishment.

One of her proudest achievements is having an article published in a law review, a rewarding recognition of her hard work. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Digital Law, which brings her closer to her career goals.
