Jade Cook

Company Secretary

Jade is a proactive and thoughtful Company Secretary with a positive outlook and considerable experience in corporate governance. In 2014 Jade furthered her professional development through a MSc Corporate Governance Programme run on-island in Guernsey.

Jade enjoys being involved in compliance, financial and legal matters across private, public and not-for-profit organisations.  

“As a Company Secretary, it is my prerogative to build effective working relationships with all board members, offering impartial advice and acting in the best interests of the company.

I am a strong communicator and passionate about my duties to the executive board which at times extends to multiple external stakeholders including regulators and investors. Familiarising myself with clients and the unique complexity of their business allows me to exceed expectations.

Across my decade long career, I have learned to act with discretion, diplomacy, tact, emotional intelligence and deploy good negotiation skills to successfully support my team”.

Jade has experience in all aspects of governance including:

  • Specific responsibilities under the relevant Corporations Act
  • Director induction / evaluation


Jade has worked with a number of public and private clients across a variety of sectors including:

  • Private Equity
  • Stockbroking
  • Investment Management


Prior to Source, Jade worked at State Street, Ipes and Ravenscroft Holdings Limited in Guernsey and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in Sydney.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts (Business Management) – Bath Spa University
  • Master of Science (Corporate Governance) – Bournemouth University

Jade has an active lifestyle and enjoys swimming and visiting the gym.

On the weekends you can find her heading to brunch with friends and family.

One of Jade’s biggest achievements is moving to Australia. She prides herself on her work, and the countless personal and professional steps she’s taken to build the career and life she has.
