Managing Director – Governance

Shannon is the Managing Director of Governance at Source. She has over 25 years of experience in corporate law and compliance, and has provided company secretarial support and corporate advisory services to boards and various committees.

Her significant experience in representing and advising boards of public and private companies has equipped her with skills in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including governance, strategy, remuneration, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, risk management and compliance, both in Australia and internationally.

Shannon has expertise advising across a variety of industries including resources, financial services, manufacturing, and technology.  

“I enjoy working with boards and management teams across different industries, helping them to efficiently integrate best practice corporate governance into the way they do business, to drive success for the benefit of all stakeholders.”

Shannon is a qualified lawyer, Chartered Secretary and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ (AICD) Company Directors course. Prior to joining Source, she founded Evolution Corporate Services, a West Australian based corporate advisory, compliance and governance service provider. Evolution merged with Source in 2022 to create a national service provider.

Shannon is a past recipient of the West Australian Women in Mining scholarship and was previously selected for the AICD Chairman’s Mentoring Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor Jurisprudence (BJuris) – Murdoch University
  • Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance – Governance Institute of Australia (GIA)
  • Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)

In her spare time, Shannon loves running and enjoys the peace and quiet of starting the day with a (slow) run around the river or hills in Perth, watching the sun rise while most people are still in bed.
