Sean Melbourne

Executive Director - Workplace

Sean is a director of Source and the head of employment law. Sean has 18 years’ experience advising employers on all aspects of employment law. He is known for his commercially astute advice and much loved down-to-earth style.

“I love working with businesses to help them navigate legal issues, particularly when it comes to managing their people. I find that most business really want to look after their people but the odds are often stacked against them by the Australian employment law system. I like helping businesses find their way through that so they can take care of their people and stay focused on building a successful business.

We’ve worked hard at Source to simplify the way we provide legal services. We’ve done away with legal complexity and outdated legal practices so we can be truly focused on how best to help our clients. It’s really rewarding to see clients take a breath of fresh air when they start working with us and see how easy it can be to work with lawyers.

I’m really proud of the team we’ve built at Source. Our people are so dedicated to helping our clients and we regularly get awesome feedback about them. It’s great to see how much value they add to our clients’ businesses and the satisfaction they get from helping them without all the constraints of a traditional law firm.”
